Our partners are public schools who serve 4th-8th grade in high-need communities. DWY provides training and a stipend for the program sponsor, a selected campus teacher. Partner schools match DWY's stipend on a sliding percentage depending on campus variables, extended club days/times, and student participation. The partner school also provides student transportation to local events. Through philanthropic partners and State grants, DWY provides the selected campus teacher training, an experiential learning coach and mentor, onsite program observations, activity curriculum and materials, scheduled outings and associated fees, overnight camping and food coordination, transportation to distant events, event supervision, safety and first aid response, and necessary equipment to participate in scheduled outings and events.

Each school year, DWY is looking to partner with six schools in the DFW area. Those schools recruit 20 students each for this after school club program. The goal is to have at least 15 participants from each school attend the calendared off-site outings and events during this year-long partnership. The end goal is to stage multi-year agreements with partner schools serving the same students as they progress through their upper elementary and middle school years. More information about the team at DWY, curriculum, and outdoor events can be found at DWYouth.org.
