Texas Outdoor Family event with Destination Wilderness Youth

To all DWY Parents, we want you to come and experience the outdoors with us and your family! As a member of our club at your school, you are invited to bring your participating child and your family - up to 8 family members - to camp with us at Purtis Creek State Park on Saturday, November 2, 2019 (45 minutes SE of Dallas off 175). It’s one night only and we supply everything you need to sleep and cook comfortably in the great outdoors. You just need to bring your family, food, blankets/pillows, and firewood - we will provide the rest! The activities will include hiking, kayaking, and geocaching in a safe and fun, family friendly environment. The cost is $25 per family and you will have your own campsite, but will be within easy access to other families from your child’s school. Join us for all the fun!

DWY On-Campus Campout Information Fliers

For each campus we serve in 2019-20, we will have an on-campus campout to get students familiar with setting up camp, doing activities, sleeping outside, and taking down camp in the morning. A very simple, safe, and fun way to get introduced to camping. Our DWY staff and your school’s staff will oversee this event.
